This project celebrates the quiet elegance of traditional country houses, where carefully restored architectural features meet bespoke furniture, natural materials, and thoughtfully curated details to create an experience of understated luxury.
Rather than competing with the building's heritage, the interior design allows it to take centre stage. Rich timber panelling, deep heritage colours, soft natural textiles and handcrafted furnishings establish a calm, welcoming environment that unfolds gradually through layers of texture and craftsmanship. Every room was designed to balance intimacy with generosity, offering spaces equally suited for quiet retreat, shared gatherings and long conversations by the fire.
Throughout the interiors, historical references are interpreted through a contemporary lens. Traditional joinery, woven cane, marble, brass, antique artworks and botanical textiles are paired with clean-lined bespoke furniture and carefully integrated modern comforts. Vintage pieces and collected objects lend authenticity without becoming nostalgic, while the restrained palette allows natural light, materiality and proportion to define each space.
Particular attention was devoted to creating a sense of permanence. Bedrooms feel calm and restorative, social spaces invite guests to linger, and family areas—including the custom-designed bunk room—combine functionality with character, transforming practical solutions into memorable experiences.
Books, artwork and decorative objects are curated not as accessories but as part of the home's narrative, encouraging discovery and rewarding closer observation.
